Tabudi Village House Handover to Honour First Lady
As a symbolic gesture and tangible commitment to carry forward the late first lady’s vision and legacy, the Limpopo Department of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (CoGHSTA) in partnership with the First Lady Trust handed over three houses to female beneficiaries at Tabudi Village in Botlokwa, Ward 2 of Molemole Local Municipality on Thursday, 24 August 2023.
Franscinah Maepa (58), Josephina Molokomme (39) and Makgadi Chelele (42) are three of the 245 house beneficiaries allocated to municipality this fiscal year. The houses are standard BNGs (better known as RDPs) that are fitted with beds and wardrobes donated by the First Lady Trust.
This collaborative effort is focused on preserving and expanding the invaluable contributions of the late first lady, particularly in the empowerment of women and the betterment of society.
During the handing over, the MEC for CoGHSTA, Basikopo Makamu, will be accompanied by the Mayor of Molemole Local Municipality, Cllr Masilo Paya, Kgoshi Ramokgopa, Zorah Khan from Zorah Khan Developers who is also the member of the First Lady Trust as well as representatives from other key stakeholders.
