THULAMELA MUNICIPALITY HANDS OVER 25 INTERNAL TARRED STREETS TO MAKWARELA COMMUNITY

Like a battle cry, ululations resonated across Makwarela Ext. 3 as community members rejoiced when Thulamela Local Municipality officially opened the newly tarred internal roads on Tuesday, 20th May 2023.

Councillors, project engineers, municipal officials and community members gathered at Tshikevha Christian School entrance to witness the cutting of the ribbon by the Mayor Cllr Athingozwidivha Sarah Rambuda,, who expressed her gratitude to the community for their patience and support during the construction process.

Costing over R103 million, the project employed 150 young people and involved the upgrading of gravel streets to tar roads.
